We had a great evening in Nanaimo where we met up with our friends Michael and Kendra from Port Townsend who were vacationing on Vancouver Island.  We had dinner at a fantastic Greek restaurant and thoroughly enjoyed both the food and the company.

We left lovely Nanaimo this morning  in the beautiful sunshine only to get our butts kicked crossing the Straits of Georgia.

After a LONG and bouncy ride around the live fire military practice range, things calmed down and we had a comfortable trip up Malaspina Strait to our destination in Westview, Powell River, BC.

After arriving, Billy and Alan scrubbed down the outside of the boat and I cleaned up inside.  Now we’re taking showers, finding dinner and taking it easy for the rest of the evening before we start it all over again tomorrow – hopefully with calmer seas!

We’re right next door to the ferry terminal so hopefully we’ll be able to sleep tonight…
