We left Victoria this morning after a pleasant week and a very busy weekend.

We took the  Victoria Clipper from Victoria to Seattle on Saturday and met some friends for dinner before attending the James Taylor concert which was amazing!  We stayed the night on the 20th floor of a condo in downtown Seattle (courtesy of airbnb) with the Space Needle as a backdrop, it made for a really cool nightlight.

Sunday morning we met up with our friend Alan who arrived Saturday night from Texas minus most of his luggage! Alan is joining us on our adventure for the next two weeks as we transit the east side of Vancouver Island.  After some power shopping, we hopped the Clipper back to Victoria in the afternoon.  We spent Monday provisioning, getting ready for the trip and enjoying the sunshine in friendly British Columbia.

After departing Victoria early this morning we arrived in Ganges, BC around noon.  Ganges is a quaint little town half way between Victoria and Nanimo (our next stop) and we are enjoying our afternoon shopping and napping.
